Below is the club job role for the Tournament Officer
The responsibility of the Tournament Office (TO) is:
- Administer and run both of the clubs Open, Record Status Tournaments which includes but is not limited to:
- Select dates for the
- Contact Judges and secure their services
- Apply for to Archery GB for UK Record Status for the events
- Setup and send out the entry form to the tournaments
- Update various templates used to run the tournaments, scoresheets, quiver tags etc
- Maintain an up to date target list to include acknowledging entries from archers and publishing the target list to websites, Judges etc
- Maintain all expenses for the tournaments
- Liase with the club committee
- Organize the necessary resources to run the tournaments prior and on the day, usually using club members
- Refreshments
- Field Party
- Registration
- Organise refreshments and food and people to run them
- For the junior event adults to assist with scoring on Short Metric V and IV
- Order Medals
- Select / ask a person to be Lady or Lord Paramount.
- Contact Binfield FC to obtain permission for event car parking.
- Arrange for an additional toilet to be present at both events.
- Run the Club Championships which includes
- Setting the date
- Creating an entry form and having it published
- Maintaining a target list as entries come in and then publishing the target list once all entries are received
- Organising medals for the day
- Communicate external tournaments, including posting the relevant forms in the clubhouse and updating the website.
- Be the main contact for members to ask questions about tournaments.
- Produce the Sunday summer suggested morning shoot schedule.
- Collate all external tournament scores that members shoot at and to pass the information over to the records officer in the necessary prescribed format.
