The outdoor tournament season is fast approaching, and many clubs have started to open their entries to their specific tournaments.
As a guide I have created a listing of the popular tournaments commonly attended by our club archers. Most of these are within about an hour’s drive from our club. I have attached the outdoor tournament listing below and this will appear in the file section of the group page.
Hopefully these will be useful for all club members, but particularly for the newer members interested in tournament shooting. Please don’t be put off by the competition aspect. Tournaments are open to all – usually with a range of distances to suit all skill levels. Come along and meet people from other clubs, have fun, shoot well and eat lots of cake. Archers and Judges are a friendly and helpful lot. Only a handful are there to win/gain ranking points etc. The rest just want a good day out!
If you are interested in joining in the fun but unsure of the process or what happens in a tournament, please ask any of the coaches or tournament archers who will be able to guide you through the process.
For tournaments further afield listings can be found on the AGB website and also the excellent listing on the Brighton Bowmen’s site: Tournament Diary – Brighton Bowmen
