Arriving at a Club Shoot

December 28, 2024

Your Arrival Time

Tournaments

Our events are advertised with a start time which is usually the time of assembly; this is when we gather together before we start shooting. By that time of assembly, we expect all archers to have arrived, registered with reception or organiser, setup their bow and completed the equipment check, if there is one, with the judges…

Club Shoots

For smaller events, like Frostbites, Summer Leagues etc, you should be there early enough to claim your spot at the shooting line. You will probably have to add your name on a list, find a target partner, pick your score card, move your boss at the target line and pin the correct target face on it.

30 Minutes Early

There are a few things to be done before we start shooting and it could take up to 30 minutes to do all that, especially if you are a novice archery without much competition experience. More experienced club members will be there to help you with all that, provided they are also there early enough.

Working Together

We rely on everybody being there early enough to help setup, as much as bigger events rely on their volunteers to run the various stations.
