27th Annual Bowmen of Warfield Short Metric

In mid-September we run a popular half day short metric which attracts both experienced archers and beginners. To encourage the year's new beginners, there are awards just for them. We always finish this event with a knockout competition that ends with a head to head, single shot!

Recurve and longbows only (no compounds)


Sunday September 14th 2008
 Assembly: 12.00 noon. Sighters: 12.15 p.m.

Judge: Maggie Woolf

Lady Paramount: Judith Richardson

 

Rounds:

Short Metric (recurve & longbows only). 50m/30m.

Short Metric IV (recurve & longbows only). 20m/10m.

 

Awards:

Three Trophy Awards in the Short Metric - for Ladies, Gents, Juniors

One Trophy Award in Short Metric IV for Juniors Champion (best boy under 12 yrs, or, girl under 13 years on 14/9/2008).

Archers of any age can shoot in either round - though there is only one Trophy in the Short Metric IV in the age group as above.


Beginners to the sport very welcome.
Beginners compete in the same category (beginners are archers who have been shooting for less than one year on 16th September 2008). Please indicate on the entry form.

Team awards - a team of 4 to include at least one lady or junior.

Dress regulations will not be in force but please try to wear green or white. Club colours welcome.

Light refreshments (cakes, snacks, bacon sandwiches, hot & cold drinks) will be available on the day from the B.O.W. "Good Shoot Inn".

Costs: Adults £6.00 Juniors £4.00


Anyone wishing to take photographs must notify the tournament organiser upon arrival.

All archers must be affiliated to the GNAS and have a current GNAS membership card

Neither the organiser, Bracknell Forest Council or The Bowmen of Warfield can accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused.

Closing date: 1st September 2008 (No fees returnable after this date).
