BOW Tournament Officer

Below is the club job role for the Tournament Officer

The responsibility of the Tournament Office (TO) is:

  • Administer and run both of the clubs Open, Record Status Tournaments which includes but is not limited to:
    • Select dates for the
    • Contact Judges and secure their services
    • Apply for to Archery GB for UK Record Status for the events
    • Setup and send out the entry form to the tournaments
    • Update various templates used to run the tournaments, scoresheets, quiver tags etc
    • Maintain an up to date target list to include acknowledging entries from archers and publishing the target list to websites, Judges etc
    • Maintain all expenses for the tournaments
    • Liase with the club committee
    • Organize the necessary resources to run the tournaments prior and on the day, usually using club members
      • Refreshments
      • Field Party
      • Registration
    • Organise refreshments and food and people to run them
    • For the junior event adults to assist with scoring on Short Metric V and IV
    • Order Medals
    • Select / ask a person to be Lady or Lord Paramount.
    • Contact Binfield FC to obtain permission for event car parking.
    • Arrange for an additional toilet to be present at both events.
  • Run the Club Championships which includes
    • Setting the date
    • Creating an entry form and having it published
    • Maintaining a target list as entries come in and then publishing the target list once all entries are received
    • Organising medals for t he day
