Below is the Club Job Role for the Junior Club Organising Officeer
The role is as an officer of the club and as such has a responsibility to act in a professional and fair manner. See archery GB code of conduct for club officials attached
The responsibility of the Junior Club Co-ordinator is to :
- Communicate with Junior Clubmembers and their Parent/Carer via email with regards to club night events, holiday events, Tournaments, archery gb events/competitions, additional coaching opportunities and general information
- Actively support Junior Club members with the help of coaches
- Plan, organise and run the weekly spring/summer junior club night evenings currently held on Tuesdays 5.30 till 8pm March to October
- Plan, organise and run school holiday events for Easter, Summer & October half term
- Promote and offer FITA Awards, 252 badges and other award schemes for all Junior members
- Promote performance coaching for Juniors
- Keep weekly records of attendance of all club night evenings and holiday events
- Liaise with the Club Safeguarding Officer
- Liaise with the Club Tournament Organiser to promote Junior entries into internal and external shoots and competitions.
- Promote Junior attendance at the Saturday & Sunday club shoots
- Promote the regular entry in Archery GB challenge events and rankings
- Liaise with club records officer in order to gauge Junior progress with handicaps and classifications
- Report at committee meetings the progress of the Junior Club
- Liaise with the Club Webmaster to keep the member’s Junior Club page upto date on the Website
Ideally this post is suited to a L1 coach or above but is not essential
If someone applies for the role who is not a coach then please be aware this post does requires a DBS check which would be paid for by the Club.
